U.S. Wellness News Alert Monticello, Missouri

Dear John,

Happy Mother's Day from U.S. Wellness Meats! We thank all our Mothers today for the love and support they give us throughout the year. We also want to salute those health-conscious mothers out there who continue to educate themselves on the benefits on grass-fed meats in their children's diets. Try some kid-tested favorites such as beef snack sticks, jerky or organic trail mix.

It's finally starting to feel like spring in Northeast Missouri this week, the temperature is rising and the rains we have experienced over the last several weeks have left us with plenty of green grass and trees. Pastures are abundant and the cattle are happy! The weather is perfect for grilling, be sure and check out our kabob recipe below or try our beef franks- which are perfect on the grill and on sale this week!

US Wellness was well represented around the country this week. We had a booth at the prestigious Navel Expo in Melville, New York last weekend. We also attended the Health and Wellness Expo in Burlington, Iowa on Sunday. Attendees raved about our samples of BBQ shredded beef and beef jerky- try some today!

If you are looking for a good read this week, try "A Healthier Ever After" by Dr. Rob Streisfeld. This refreshing and entertaining tale shows us that a 'healthier ever after' is possible. Doc Rob uses traditional fairy tale characters to teach us important lessons on how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Doc Rob is a Gourmet Natural Foods Chef and a big fan of US Wellness BBQ Shredded Beef!

If you are interested in a Total Transformation, try our friend Kat James' Mountain Chalet Total Transformation Program, being held in Asheville, NC June 19-24. This is an opportunity to turn your health around with help from best-selling author and powerful motivator Kat James. Held in the heart of the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, this unique getaway features a menu of organic, free-range, grass-fed, wild and/or local produce, the best personal care and nutritional products to sample, natural spa treatments, first class makeover and photo shoot with all natural cosmetics, and priceless educational sessions with Kat James, just to name a few.

News Flash! More running updates: Megan and Tressa both completed the half marathon Bridge the Gap to Health Race this past weekend across the Mississippi River Bridge in Quincy, Il while Jennifer completed the 5 mile Jay Dix Challenge to Cure Race across the University of Missouri Campus in Columbia, MO. We are doing our part to raise money and awareness for health issues, and staying hydrated on race day with Beyond Hydration Water!

Fresh chilled deadline is noon Friday, May 15th. U.S. Wellness has five tasty selections to choose from in the 100% fresh never frozen category. The ribeye and burger bundle is an on sale item this week.

Best Mother's Day Wishes,

John, Lee Ann, Megan, Tressa and Jennifer on behalf of the farm families of U.S. Wellness Meats

    EMAIL QUESTIONS TO: eathealthy@grasslandbeef.com

    Dear Dr. Serrano,

I have a few questions. First, what causes rosacea on the face? I'm 52,and have been struggling with this for a few years now. I can't find a face moisturizer that doesn't make it flare up either. I've even tried coconut oil and olive oil.

Secondly, what causes cysts? Because my 15 year old daughter keeps getting them on her face. She had to have one removed so far.

    Thank you,

    S.N.
    Racine, WI

    Dear S.M.:

The most common reasons for rosacea are:
    1. drinking alcohol
    2. lack of probiotics
    3. lack of acid in your stomach
    4. lack of digestive enzymes
    5. food allergies
    6. gall bladder disease or removal
Go through this list and check what you have and you will find your answers. By the way, you will have other symptoms like bloating, burping, reflux, gas or sleepiness-not all of them at the same time but here and there.

About your daughters cyst, I need more information, because it can be sebaceous cysts, cholesterol, acne, etc.

    Best regards,

    Dr. Serrano
