Browser issues have cropped up across the web in the last few weeks with new changes in PCI compliance which is the latest technology to keep hackers at a safe distance.  The following notes will correct some issues that our users encountered in the last two weeks:
  • Firefox - using the newest version will eliminate all login & checkout issues
  • Chrome -using the newest version will eliminate all login & checkout issues
  • Internet Explorer - requires version 11 or Edge.... version 10 will not work
  • Safari - requires version 7 or newer ...... there are still some issues on Safari and we suggest you call if you are having difficulty so we can place order by phone if necessary
All the changes above are for your protection as the browser industry works to stay ahead of hacking technology.   We have seen many improvements in the last couple of years and this trend will continue.

Foods That Fight The Common Cold

The key to preventing colds and recovering from them quickly is to maintain a strong immune system, which includes: optimizing your diet, avoiding sugar, optimizing your vitamin D level, getting enough sleep and exercise, managing your stress, and practicing good hand washing technique.

Just being exposed to a cold virus does not automatically mean you'll catch a cold. If your immune system is operating at its peak, your body will be able to fend off the virus without ever getting sick, even if you're exposed to it.

A number of foods, herbs, and supplements can be particularly helpful for promoting strong immune function.

chuck roast
Beef Chuck Roast

These beef chuck roasts are so full of flavor. We like to put them in the crockpot along with veggies, early in the morning to have for dinner during the summer months. During the cold winter months we put them in the crockpot in the evening to eat for a hearty breakfast. It's so nice to smell the roast cooking and ready when we get up in the morning. The roasts are so tender they fall apart and if you have leftovers then they make delicious roast beef sandwiches. If you're looking for a meal that is easy to make, then order some of these roasts. :)

  • 1½ pound tri-tip roast
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Directions:
  1. Rinse the roast and pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine the rub ingredients in a bowl and rub it all over the roast. Let the meat sit at room temperature for 45 minutes.
  3. Preheat one side of an electric grill to medium-high heat or arrange and light the coals to one side of a charcoal grill.
  4. Sear the meat on all sides for 8 minutes, then move it to the opposite side of the grill off of the direct heat. Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes. Flip and continue cooking for 10 minutes or until a thermometer reads 135-140 degrees for medium-rare, 140-145 for medium, or 145-150 for medium-well.
  5. Slice thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
