Browser issues have cropped up across the web in the last two weeks with new changes in PCI compliance which is the latest technology to keep hackers at a safe distance.  The following notes will correct some issues that our users encountered in the last ten days:
  • Firefox - using the newest version will eliminate all checkout issues
  • Chrome -using the newest version will eliminate all checkout issues
  • Internet Explorer - requires version 11 or Edge.... version 10 will not work
  • Safari - requires version 7 or newer version ...... there are still some issues on Safari and suggest you call if you are having difficulty so we can place order by phone if necessary

All the changes above are for your protection as the browser industry works to stay ahead of hacking technology.   We have seen many improvements in the last couple of years and this trend will continue.

The effectiveness of low-fat diet on weight-loss has been debated for decades, and hundreds of randomized clinical trials aimed at evaluating this issue have been conducted with mixed results. New research finds that low-fat interventions were no more successful than higher-fat interventions in achieving and maintaining weight loss for periods longer than one year.

Salmon with Strawberry Salsa
Grilled Salmon with Strawberry Ginger Salsa

Ingredients for Salsa:
  • 1 cups diced strawberries
  • cup diced red onion
  • 1 tsp. finely grated fresh ginger  
  • Juice from orange
  • Juice from lemon
Ingredients for Salmon: 
  • 1 lb. salmon (cut into 2 pieces)
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • sea salt
  1. Make the salsa first: combine strawberries, red onion, grated ginger, orange juice and lemon juice in a bowl. Stir to blend and let flavors combine as the grill preheats.
  2. Preheat gas grill on high for 10 minutes.
  3. Place each piece of salmon, skin-side down, on a piece of tin foil large enough to enclose it in a packet. Sprinkle salmon generously with sea salt and lay lemon slices on top. Wrap it loosely in the foil and then pinch the edges of the foil closed.
  4. Turn grill heat down to medium. Close grill cover, and cook 15 minutes. They're done when the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Open salmon packets carefully to let the steam escape, and discard the lemon slices.  The salmon skin will stick to the foil, so gently insert a spatula between the salmon and its skin, and transfer to plates.
  6. Serve topped with strawberry salsa.
