Dr. Mercola ~ Why Healthy Dietary Fat Is Crucial

Recipe Corner ~February Favorites
Grass-fed beef steak
Greetings John,

A few years ago, the term 'healthy fats' would have been considered an oxymoron like 'jumbo shrimp'. Doctors & scientists are changing their tune. Today, more and more people are realizing healthy fats are an essential part of a good diet.

Our 100% Grass-fed Beef, Bison, Lamb, Wild-Caught Seafood and Dairy are loaded with healthy fats. Omega 3 Fatty Acids and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (or CLA) are two varieties that promote good health. People with diets rich in these healthy fats tend to have improved heart functions & circulation, fewer incidences of depression, schizophrenia, attention deficit disorder (hyperactivity), and Alzheimer's disease. They can also be a big player in the fight against cancers. We encourage you to know the food that you eat. What's in there? What's not in there? Our meats are nutrient rich and delicious too!

Are you getting enough healthy fats in your diet? A good way to improve your intake is to keep good snacks around. Our Pemmican Bars are great to keep handy for snack attacks! Grandma knew a few things about cooking. What was she doing that made food taste so good? Check out our Favorite Fats and rediscover some of Grandma's cooking secrets.

Congratulations to Christian C. of Cumming, GA for winning the Mark's Daily Apple + USWM Whole Cow Contest! Christian's Poke Bowl with Green KILLA Sauce  video recipe won the $1,500 USWM shopping spree.

Dr. Mercola
The media and public health authorities have been promoting misinformation about fats for over 50 years, advising low-fat diets, while encouraging avoiding foods like coconut oil and butter. But now, the nutritional myth that fats - saturated fats, in particular - are bad for you is falling apart due to the steady stream of compelling research that contradicts this.

People have eaten animal products for most of our existence on Earth - the early cavemen were hunter-gatherers who consumed mostly meats and plants.  So to suggest that saturated fats are suddenly harmful to us makes no sense, especially from an evolutionary perspective.

Customer Feedback

"Wonderful, healthy, taste is excellent; Love the sticks~ very convenient!"

"I am a Nutritionist. I have always cooked my own food. I rarely ever dine out. We also raise our own meat.  I always have a ice cooler in my vehicle when I travel so I have food in my car with me at all times, so when I do get hungry I choose to eat healthy :)  There have been so many times I have not wanted to cook for the next few days and with Pemmican that is possible! It is simple and easy! I just scoop out and eat with a salad~ what a time saver!!!

It tastes wonderful if you are already use to consuming healthy nutritious food. With that being said I think many people think they are eating healthy but in reality still do not know how real nutritious food tastes... Consistency of Pemmican is close to a hard nut butter. Pemmican has a wonderful flavor and is easy to scoop out of canister. I feel there is not much of a taste difference between the plain or cherry Pemmican they both taste very similar. I give Pemmican an A++++  and will order again! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication in making healthy nutritious meat products for consumers."
