A mouth full of sorghum sudan grass makes for very happy cattle. This picture was taken in Western Illinois this past week on the Crum farm. Grazing cattle on sudan grass is not business as usual in the heart of the corn belt!
These content cattle are grazing a mix of bahia grass and summer annual millet forage which is the ice cream grass in South Alabama in the sultry days of mid August. Recent showers have been ideal for forage growth.
