Hippocrates was a Greek physician who lived between 460 bce - 375 bce. He has become known as the "Father of Medicine", having influenced the establishment of medicine as a discipline. Hippocrates is credited with originally classifying, diagnosing, and treating many common ailments. His work is still the basis for some modern treatments.
Today, medicine has advanced in ways that would have seemed impossible even a generation ago. Life saving techniques and treatments are common place. Some modern treatments are still debated and rightly so. In order to improve, questions should always be asked. Is there a better way?
